Here we go: The Oblivion remaster will be officially unveiled, and likely released today.
After years of rumours of Microsoft releasing a remaster of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, a court case confirming it’s existence 4 years ago and then finally concrete evidence of its existence via several screenshots being found on the developers website; The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is finally on our doors
The leaks said the long rumoured Oblivion remaster was coming out “the week of 21/04/2025”. Some took this as it was releasing yesterday but we all know games release on Tuesdays! (or sometimes Thursdays).
Bethesda later confirmed our suspicions that no, Oblivion is not coming back on Easter Monday. It’s coming on Tuesday. or Today.
I do believe that Bethesda will hit us with the double-whammy surprise – similar to what they did with Fallout Shelter back in the day. Although a Oblivion Remastered (or whatever it’s going to be called) reveal and release will be a much bigger deal.
We may also end up with a big gameplay video, list of new enhancements, and a “coming soon” at the end that will have the internet massively disappointed that the leaks were a lie. We will find out at at 8 am PT/11 am ET/ 4PM BST
What will happen today isn’t clear but there will at the very least be a reveal of the Oblivion remaster, and if leaks are to be believed then the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster will also launch today.
If it’s not today, it’s certainly by the end of the week (Thursday I’d bet if not today). It makes sense that a stream like this would exist, given that you’re not literally going to throw something like this onto console or PC stores without even a word. So, this stream will go through how it looks, plays and what changes have been made to modernize the game to some extent. Again, a numbere of these changes have already leaked ranging from blocking to archery to stamina.
All will be revealed at 8 am PT/11 am ET/ 4PM BST on Youtube and twitch.
