How pay monthly works.
Instead of paying for a website in one go and then paying again for hosting, updates and every change, you pay one fixed monthly fee. It covers the design and build of the site, your domain, UK hosting, software and security updates, backups, 24/7 uptime monitoring and your content edits.
There is no build fee. You start paying when the plan starts, and the fee is fixed for the first 24 months.
The site is designed and built by Iain in Edinburgh, and the same person looks after it afterwards. You never deal with an account manager or a ticket queue.
Until ownership passes to you, the site is licensed to you for as long as your plan is active. Your own content, brand assets and domain are yours throughout, and any domain we register for you is registered in your name.

Owning your site.
Ownership of the site we design and build passes to you once you have paid 24 months of fees. From then on you own the design, templates and content made for you, and you get the complete site files and database.
You do not have to wait. Any time after the first 12 months you can buy the site outright for the fixed fee stated in your order.
We keep ownership of general frameworks, plugins and reusable components, and give you a permanent, free licence to use them as part of your site, so the site keeps working wherever you take it.
Whenever you leave, you get a free leaving pack within 5 working days: an export of your content, including text, images, documents and form entries, and help transferring your domain. If you own the site by then, it includes the complete site files and database, ready to move to another host.

Over several years, a subscription can cost more in total than a one-off build. What the monthly fee adds is everything a one-off build leaves to you: hosting, updates, backups, monitoring, your content edits and someone to call when something breaks. There is also nothing to find up front, and the fee is fixed for 24 months.
If you would rather pay once and own the site immediately, ask us for a fixed-price quote instead.
Who owns the website?
Your content, brand and domain are always yours. The site we build is licensed to you while your plan is active, and ownership passes to you once you have paid 24 months of fees. After 12 months you can buy it outright for the fixed fee in your order.
What happens if I want to leave?
After the minimum term, either of us can end the plan with 30 days’ notice. You can leave during the minimum term too, but the fees for the rest of that term remain due.
Either way you get a free leaving pack within 5 working days: your content exported and help transferring your domain, plus the complete site files and database if the site is yours by then.
What do you need from me?
Your final copy, images and logo, and access to your domain. The 7 days to launch start when we have all of those. On the Braw plan we write the copy for up to 5 pages, so you only need to tell us about the business.
Can I keep my existing domain?
Yes. Your domain stays yours; we just need access to it to point it at the new site. If you do not have one yet, we register it in your name.
Can you redesign my current website on a monthly plan?
Yes. A redesign is a new site on Braw Essentials, Braw or Braw Growth, with the same £0 build fee. If you are happy with your WordPress site and just want it looked after, Braw Basics does that for £49 a month.
How many changes can I ask for?
As many content edits as you like: text, images, prices, opening hours, and adding or swapping pages within your plan’s allowance. We handle them one at a time, in order, within your plan’s response time. New functionality, redesigns and online shops are quoted separately.
